Scholarship Details:
In order to explore new avenues of scientific cooperation and establish joint scientific research projects, the bilateral exchange of Academics Programme is primarily intended to support the implementation of mutual teaching and research projects between German and Egyptian scientists. Kindly note that lecture tours and conference participation cannot be supported through this programme. The Bilateral Exchange of Academics Programme offers academic visits to Germany ranging from 1 to 3 months, depending on the applicant’s work schedule and could not be extended. The grant consists of a monthly allowance of 2.000 Euro. Health insurance is NOT covered by the grant. Travel costs will have to be covered by the applicant or by his home institution.
Eligibility Details:
-Applications are open to all PhD holders working at Egyptian universities or research institutions
-A convincing and well-planned research project to be completed during the stay in Germany. This must have been coordinated and agreed with a research collaboration partner at the chosen host institute in Germany
-The applicant must have the appropriate foreign language skills (German or English) that will allow successful academic communication with the German host. Preparatory language courses are not provided by DAAD
- A valid health insurance.
