NIFA announces the availability of grant funds and requests applications for the Higher Education Multicultural Scholars Program (MSP) for fiscal year (FY) 2012 to conduct undergraduate and D.V.M. scholarship programs to meet national and international needs for training food and agricultural scientists and professionals, or professionals in rural economic, community, and business development. The amount available for support of this program is approximately $990,000.
Students attending two-year colleges that are legally authorized to offer a two-year or equivalent program of college-level studies which are principally creditable toward a baccalaureate degree, may be awarded a MSP Scholarship from eligible baccalaureate institutions in cases where an articulation agreement, bridging agreement, or other type of collaborative arrangement exists between the subject baccalaureate-level institution(s) and the two year college.
