The Aileen Plant Memorial Scholarship is intended for an Indigenous student with an interest in Indigenous public health issues in Australia. Applicants should be currently enrolled in an eligible Health Sciences undergraduate degree, postgraduate certificate or diploma at Curtin University in 2012. The Scholarship is to honour the work of Aileen Plant in the public health sector and in particular in Australian Indigenous health. The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and reward Indigenous Australians who demonstrate academic and leadership potential.

Scholarship Details:
The Kat Montagu Screenwriting Scholarship will be awarded to a new student in the VFS Writing for Film & Television program. The $2,500 award will be put toward the scholarship winner’s tuition costs. The 2013 Scholarship is open to all incoming students registered in the Writing for Film & Television Class 42 (starting January 2, 2013), provided they have not previously taken any professional program at Vancouver Film School, have an undergraduate or graduate degree, and can provide a reference letter and one page of script. Scholarships will be awarded based on the selection criteria outlined for this scholarship, and the applicant must meet all admissions requirements. The judging committee will consist of faculty and representatives from VFS, as well as scholarship providers. The decision of the judging committee is final. Scholarships cover part of the costs for tuition and specific program supplies. The scholarship recipient is responsible for all additional costs necessary to complete the program of study (including remaining tuition, housing, transportation, food, and incidentals). If the winner cannot commit to attending VFS for any reason within two weeks of being notified that he or she has been selected to receive a scholarship, another scholarship winner will be chosen.
