Scholarship Details:
The persons filling these positions will participate in an expanding effort on phase-sensitive parametric amplifiers and involves both experimental and numerical/theoretical work. While optical signal transmission will be the main application, we will also pursue other interesting opportunities. The majority of your working time is devoted to your own research studies. A PhD student is also expected to develop own ideas and communicate scientific results orally as well as in written form. In addition, the position will normally include 20% departmental work, mostly teaching duties.
Eligibility Details:
The applicant should have a Masters degree (or equivalent) preferably in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar, preferably with a background in Photonics and optical communication.
-You will be trained in our state-of-the-art laboratory.
-We are looking for innovative self-motivated people that will be able work independently as well as in larger teams. Fluency in English is a requirement.
-The undergraduates are normally taught in Swedish, although the graduate level teaching is in English. Thus good language skills are required.
