International environment with an opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary research team The University of Luxembourg is an equal opportunity employer. The project “Competences for organizing discourse-in-interaction & science learning” (CODI-SCILE-A2) is investigating scientific knowledge construction by children (age 8 – 12) as discourse-in-interaction practices, features and formats with regard to the multi-modal, multi-medial and multi-lingual quality of resources deployed and taken up by the learners when doing science in open, enquiry-based workshops.

Eligibility Details:

Candidates are specialized in the empirical analysis of technology enhanced learning, acquainted with interactional and sociocultural research paradigms highlighting the process character of Web 2.0 related learning processes; well versed in learning sciences, computer supported knowledge building and multimodal interaction analysis; experiences in data-management and data-treatment. The successful candidate holds a relevant degree (doctorate (PhD)) in one of the following fields: educational sciences, (multi-modal/multi-medial) communication, interactional studies, learning (including human/machine), applied linguistics, science learning.
